We use video and storytelling to help you make career decisions. Video is a vehicle to bring a relevant career advice to the public.

3.Over 50% of American workers were not engaged while another 18% are actively disengaged.

4.Shortage of workers in the Trades, Technology, Healthcare and Education.

1. Students are uncertain of what career path to choose

2. Students access to professionals to get real world career advice is limited and based on their parents’ network.

3. Guidance counselors in schools are limited in the advice they can give based on the volume of students they have to see.

4. Not understanding the process getting into a career, what it takes to be successful in that profession.

What Makes Goadilo Special:

We allow our audience to have access to real world advice from professionals in high growth/demand jobs in the Trades, Technology, Healthcare and Education. The best way to learn about a job is from someone who is working in that job. Your parents, teachers, guidance counselors, friends cannot give you better advice, or get you into a job more than the person actually doing the job. Goadilo is partnering with business, education, professional associations, to create a one stop career shop with resources that take an individual from thinking about a career to making a successful transition into a new career. We help get the right people in the right jobs, in professions that are growing and pay well.

Phase 1 Educate/ Experience

Goadilo (Glimpse of a Day in Life Of) is a career management portal that provides our guests with the ability to learn about what it entails to work in the top professional careers, and trades. Target audience is young people between the ages of 18-25 entering the job market. The second audience is midcareer professionals changing professions. Guests can view three to five-minute testimonies from professionals working in their field of interest. The site will provide information on salaries, growth rates, unemployment rates, and work life balance. We will use social media, blogs, and forums, to drive an interactive experience.

Phase 2 Serve/ Process

This phase is designed to address the how you make the career change a reality. Create a one-stop career shop that connects users with service providers that specialize in career services. Partner’s such as technical institutions, career coaches, and professional associations will be accessible to help with the career transition. I will only partner with service providers that put a high importance on delivering the highest level of customer service.

Phase 3 Support/ Mentor

This phase is connecting seasoned professionals with people who are pursuing a career in their field. When I approach people to be featured on the site the clear majority of them express an interest in mentoring new entrants to their field. Goadilo will create a market place to connect both groups.

Why I Launched Goadilo:

When you have worked a few years in any profession you come to the realization that people have helped you, for you to be in the position you are in. I have personally benefited from advice, introductions, that have resulted in new career opportunities and success. Since 2008 I have noticed an increase of people in my professional network asking for introductions to people who can help them get into a company or new industry. People simply want to know what they are getting into when they consider a new job or career. I want to help as many people as possible get into their career of their choice. I love hearing passionate professionals share their stories to help others.
